Telling Rotary’s story does not have to be complicated—or something club leaders tackle alone.

The Zone 26/27 Rotary Public Image Coordinator team is offering a series of monthly virtual discussions to help Rotary clubs and districts strengthen their communications, use Rotary’s brand effectively and share stories that inspire people to get involved.

All District 5470 club presidents, public image chairs and other interested Rotarians are invited to participate. Whether you are an experienced communicator or have recently taken on a public image role, the sessions will provide practical ideas, useful resources and opportunities to learn from Rotary leaders throughout Zones 26 and 27.

Topics planned throughout the Rotary year include communications strategy, websites, social media, Rotary-approved resources, event promotion and engaging People of Action stories. The accompanying calendar provides the schedule and featured topic for each session. October's discussion will focus on telling Rotary’s story: press releases, media relations and ethical storytelling.

Participants will also learn more about Uniting for Good, the Zone’s online storytelling and resource platform. Clubs and districts can use the platform to share service projects, celebrate successes, promote events and connect Rotary’s public image efforts across the region.

The Zone’s Public Image Coordinator team is available to help clubs:

  • Develop an effective communications strategy

  • Strengthen websites and social media channels

  • Find and use Rotary-approved resources

  • Promote projects, programs and events

  • Tell compelling People of Action stories

The virtual discussions are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. Mountain Time.

Strong public image work helps our communities understand who Rotarians are, what we do and why it matters. These monthly conversations offer club leaders the tools and support they need to tell those stories more confidently and effectively.
